I began teaching voice in 2007 while finishing my Bachelor’s degree and have gained extensive experience and expertise along the way. Teaching both privately and in the classroom has given me the tools to build and sustain a successful voice studio.
From 2006-2012 I was a section leader and substitute director of the Chancel Choir at First Presbyterian Church in Cedar Falls, Iowa. While employed there, I ran the children’s music program from 2007-2009, directing concerts, pageants and vacation bible school. I was also the bell choir director at First Presbyterian from 2009-2012. In 2012 I substitute taught in the Waterloo, Iowa community school district, taking on significant choral and band directing assignments.
I currently run Mockingbird Studio of Voice, teaching private and group voice lessons out of Sarah Jane’s Music School in Minneapolis, MN. I co-founded and direct Lyrebird Choral Program at Chanson Voice and Music Academy in St. Paul, MN. I am the children’s choir director at Roseville Lutheran Church in Roseville, Minnesota.
Mockingbird Studio of Voice is built on education, experience and above all, a passion for music.
